Over the twenty years of his career, Belgian designer Raf Simons has influenced image of contemporary fashion so much that it won’t be too pretentious to call him one of the greatest designers of the time. The eponymous Maison Martin Margiela «White» fashion show in 1991 changed Raf Simons’ mind fundamentally and made him get into fashion. Since then his menswear label has become one of the sought after on fashion scene. In his collections, Raf Simons reworks military uniform and work wear, experiments with gender roles, decorates clothes with art pieces and collaborates with famous artists like Sterling Ruby. The designer is also an arts expert and collector, so in honor to KM20 anniversary we asked him to choose his favorite books about artists.
